Dashboard: Reporting view
ποΈ What is Reporting View?
Section titled βποΈ What is Reporting View?β- The Reporting View is how a dashboard looks to guests or clients.
- It is accessed by clicking the eye icon in the left-side menu.
- This mode hides all editing controls and presents a clean, professional report.
π₯οΈ Layout in Reporting View
Section titled βπ₯οΈ Layout in Reporting Viewβ- Header area β shows the dashboard name, date range selector, and logos (company + client). The date range can be removed via option in General & Style.
- Widgets β display live data with graphs, comparisons to previous periods/years, and key metrics.
- Tabs β both Dashboard tab (custom date ranges) and Today tab (fixed Today vs Yesterday data with live widgets) are available.
- Top menu β includes the Share button for exporting or distributing the dashboard.
π€ Sharing in Reporting View
Section titled βπ€ Sharing in Reporting Viewβ- The Share menu in reporting view provides two options:
- PDF Export β download a static report.
- Copy URL β share a live link.
π Access Control
Section titled βπ Access Controlβ- If a password is set, guests must enter it before viewing the dashboard.
- Permalink regeneration ensures compromised links can be invalidated instantly.
π― Purpose
Section titled βπ― Purposeβ- Designed for client presentations and reporting.
- Provides a simplified, branded view without edit options.
- Ensures data transparency while maintaining control over access and distribution.
