Dashboard: Text widget

A Text Widget is used to manually add information to a dashboard. Unlike data widgets, which pull metrics from integrations, text widgets rely entirely on user input. They are useful for annotations, explanations, notes, static values, or embedded external content.

  • Click Add Text Widget from the right-side menu.
  • Select the widget type: Plain, Upload, or Historic.
  • Configure the second step depending on type.
  • Finalize with the last step (title, size, format).
  • Enter text directly into the field.
  • Supports Markdown, HTML, and embedded iframe content.
  • Example use: Notes, annotations, static KPIs, embedding charts or external widgets.
  • Enter text in the field and upload one file (image or CSV).
  • If image: Markdown code is automatically applied inside the text field, allowing text above or below the image.
  • If CSV: Content is rendered as a table below whatever text is added in the field.
  • Example use: Combine text with an image (logo, chart) or attach a CSV to show tabular data alongside notes.
  • Enter text, upload file (image or CSV), and set a date range. Multiple groups can be created.
  • Each group has its own text + optional file.
  • Groups are only visible if their input date range overlaps with the dashboard’s active date range.
  • Supports Markdown, HTML, iframe, and same upload rules as Upload type.
  • Example use: Track monthly notes, attach CSVs for specific periods, or show images tied to a date range.
  • Widget title — name the widget (e.g., Client Notes).
  • Widget size — choose from multiple grid sizes (1x1, 2x1, 3x1, etc.).
  • Widget format — select display style (see below).
  • Rows limit — set maximum rows for text display (0 = no limit).
  • Submit — finalize and add the widget to the dashboard.
  • Standard widget layout. Content is displayed normally inside its block.
  • Example use: Default choice for most widgets.
  • Scales up the widget’s content and centers it inside its block.
  • Example use: Highlighting a KPI or single value prominently.
  • If the widget spans the entire dashboard width or sits next to another auto height widget, content collapses to minimum height.
  • If no body content exists, only the widget title is rendered.
  • Can be used as a separator between widgets.
  • Example use: Creating visual separation, or minimizing space for widgets with little/no content.
  • Plain — Add campaign notes, embed an iframe chart, or format text with Markdown.
  • Upload — Add explanatory text and upload a CSV to render a table, or insert an image with text above/below.
  • Historic — Create multiple groups of notes/files tied to different date ranges, visible only when overlapping with the dashboard’s active date range.
  • Widget Format — Use Auto Height Card as a separator, or Centered Content Card to emphasize a KPI.
  • Text widgets do not connect to integrations — all content is entered manually or uploaded.
  • Best used for contextual information, static references, or embedded external content alongside data widgets.
  • Once added, text widgets can be resized, moved, or edited like any other widget.
