Mission control: group - add domain

🎯 Overview

Adding a domain to a group ensures that the domain is included in the monitoring checks performed by Mission Control. Each domain must provide valid source data for the metrics selected in the group, so alerts can be triggered correctly.

📑 Required Information

• Domain Name — mandatory field; must be entered in the format domain.tld.
• Dashboard URL — optional field; if provided, domains in the group page become clickable links.
• Source Accounts — required for all sources whose metrics are used in the group.
  • For each source basic mandatory information must be selected here.

⚙️ Workflow

1. Navigate to the Add Domain form.
2. Enter the Domain Name.
3. Optionally provide a Dashboard URL for clickable links in the group page.
4. Connect all required Source Accounts data listed here.
5. Click Submit to add the domain to the group.

⚠️ Key Notes

• A domain cannot be added unless all required Source Accounts are connected for the metrics being tracked.
• The Dashboard URL is optional but improves usability by making domains clickable in the group list.
• Domains can be added to multiple groups, allowing different monitoring rules per group.
• Once added, the domain will be checked every day for metric changes against the defined thresholds.
